2012 Youth & HS Registration Information

2012 Youth Spring, Youth Box, and High School Program Registration

Registration for the 2012 Youth Spring, Youth Box, and High School Program is now open.  Simply click on the link immediately below the high school information.

  • Spring Youth Boys LAX is for 7th/8th graders (current grade).  A team will be formed at the 7th/8th grade level.  At the present, we are planning to form one team and are also considering some of the more skilled 7th and 8th graders to play in the high school program.  More information will be made available once registration numbers are better understood.  The teams will play from approximately the middle of March through the middle of May.  These teams play on outside fields - 9x9 plus a goalie. They will have approximately 1 practice per week and play in 10 games (all games will be on the weekend).  For all teams and as part of the game schedule, one weekend will be played out of town in Grand Rapids, MN.  The registration fee is $150 and includes a jersey but no equipment.  After February 3rd, a $50 late registration fee will apply.
     
  • Spring Box Boys LAX is for 3rd/4th, 5th/6th,  and 7th/8th graders (current grade). Box LAX is played inside. Box LAX is the same game the Minnesota Swarm play. These teams will play from approximately early March through the middle of May. They will have approximately 1 practice per week and approximately 15 games (game schedules are not yet available).  The game is played 5x5 plus a goalie. This league is sponsored by the Minnesota Swarm.  The registration fee is $190 and includes a jersey but no equipment.  After February 3rd, a $50 late registration fee will apply. 

     

     

     

    • 2012 High School Offering

    A Maple Grove Lacrosse Association (MGLAX) registration fee in the amount of $375 is required for all high school players.  Participation will not be allowed until the MGLAX registration is complete and fees paid.  A High School Registration fee of $180 is also required for all first and second time athletic participants at the high school level.  Three time (sport) returning athletes are exempt from this high school fee and registration.  The high school registration fee is required by and paid directly to Maple Grove High School.  This fee is not part of the MGLAX registration fee.  However, participation in the MGLAX High School  program will not be allowed until the high school registration is complete and the $180 fee per player obligation is satisfied.  Upon completion of the high school registration process, you are eligible and required to register for the MGLAX High School program via the on-line registration located at www.mglax.com.  The MGLAX registration fee is paid directly to the Maple Grove Lacrosse Association and is separate from the required high school registration fee.  These two fees and two registrations are required and are necessary to cover the full cost of playing lacrosse at the high school level.  The high school registration fee is $180 and the Maple Grove Lacrosse Association fee is $375. 

    2012 Summer Youth Boys

    Registration for the Youth Summer Program is now open.  Simply click on the link immediately following the summer boy's program information.

    Summer Boys LAX is for 2nd/3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade, and 7th/8th grade (current grade). These teams will play from approximately the middle of May through the first week of August. Games will be begin roughly June 1st. The number of teams formed at each of the three levels will be based on registration numbers.  At this time, we expect 2 teams to be formed at each of the three levels.  For both the 7th/8th grade and 5th/6th grade levels, teams will be formed based on try-outs. Additional information regarding try-outs will be posted to the web site at a later date. All summer teams will have approximately 2 practices per week and 2 games per week. All teams at the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade level will also play in one weekend tournament.  League games will only be during the week. The registration fee for the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade level is $275 and for the 2nd/3rd/4th level is $230.  The registration fee includes the uniform but no equipment.

    Refund Policy

    Boys Youth - For Spring, Box and Summer players will receive a 50% refund if requested prior to the first practice or game.  Once play begins, no refunds will be given.

    Maple Grove Lacrosse Registration Fee for High School Players - Players will receive a 75% refund if requested prior to try outs and a 50% refund if requested prior to the first game.  No refunds will be honored once the first game has been played.  Any player not making a team will receive a 100% refund.
